I don't think thats going to happen. most people need something to believe in, and some form of structure in their lives.

Not a good idea. Here is why:

    Consider this:

A society is capable of surviving for thousands of years unless it is attacked from within or without by hostile forces. where such an attack occurs, the primary targets are it's religious and national gods and heroes,it's potential of leadership and the self respect and integrity of it's members.

If you look around you , you will find countless examples of these points. They scream at us every day from the newspapers and TV.

Probably the most critical point of attack on a culture is it's religious experience. Where one can destroy or undermine religious institutions then the entire fabiric of the society can be quickly subverted or brought to ruin.

For the last hundred years or so religion has been beset with relentless attack. You have been told it’s the “opiate of the masses “, that it’s unscientific, that it is primitive, in short , that it is a delusion.

The source of this kind of attack is always covert and hidden. It is promoted by a few who have a vested interest in a slave society.

Unfortunately these few rely on creating fear and insecurity in others

to forward and promote their enemy propaganda. These others feel correctly they have to defend themselves from an attack, but because the real enemy is hidden, they can be manipulated to attack what they really should be defending as they cannot see the real enemy.

The key here is that underneath all these attacks on organised religion there is one fundemental target:

The spirituality of man, your own basic spiritual nature, self respect and peace of mind.

Is it the religion you want them to give up, or do you want them to give up being organized?

Because a religion is nothing more than a belief system, and I doubt if people will ever give up having beliefs. And if people believe something deeply, it just seems logical to organize.

I don't think it makes any sense to expect people to give up.

The disintegration of organized social groups. Seriously. "Organized" religion (what is a disorganized religion, anyway?) is fabulous at reinforcing social bonds, social norms, and group identity. As long as people are living in groups, there will be religions.

Hi! As long as organized religions are used to manipulate people and control them and provide outlets for greed, there will never be a day without them.

My personal belief is that it will eventually die out, when people start using their god-given free will and continue to use logic and questioning to find out the truth for themselves. I believe that there is a spiritual existence, in order to find the truth of it, we need to use our own mind. We need to progress beyond the limits of what others tell us to believe and find out for ourselves. Once everyone takes on this goal, organized religion will no longer have control over us.

  • In my opinion, I don't think mankind is going to (or is capable of) doing this on it's own! I think "divine intervention" will be needed, and if the Bible is correct about this, that intervention will one day come, but until then, Satan will continue to mislead many, and what better a tool to do this with than "organized religion". Don't you agree? Every time someone kills someone else in the name of his/her God, someone "down there", is "laughing".

Most likely this will never come to be. Religon has been passed down in families for generations upon generations. Some people need structure and need to believe in something higher than themselves.

Also, what is the harm in it really? If church and god give people comfort why not?

It would require a law to be mandated to outlaw all forms of organized religion as well as free thought.

The second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. Then they will all give up there religions and try to follow Jesus but by then it will be too late.
