Hats, Women and The National Anthem?
Why don't women remove their hats when the National Anthem is played at sporting events? If it's a sign of respect for men, shouldn't it be a sign of respect for women as well?

if women dont have to remove their hats in church..why do it for a theme song? Whats the deal?

My wife and I just discussed this yesterday. Yes, women should also remove the hats.

It's to do with modesty and antiquated views on how a modest woman should dress (see muslim women covering their entire bodies).
