What's your favorite way to kill cockroaches?

I used to spray them with whatever aerosol can I found handy; deodorant, spray glue, air freshener, etc. But my favorite was metallic gols spray paint. They were SO pretty!

Update:

Typo, sorry! ... my favorite was metallic GOLD spray paint. They were SO pretty!

Well when I was younger, I used anything at hand hair products, insect spray, food, etc..

When I was 15, I got my very own cat for the first. He was the best bug killer in the world. Because these were not cockroaches, they were waterbugs flying all over the place. I'd go to bed scared out of my mind and my cat would kill the bug in the night and there'd be a dead bug lying in front of my bed as a present.

Now that I am older, I get someone else to do it for me. Just last night I had to go screaming to my best friend to kill a cockroach in her refrigerator crawling around. Ewww!!!

i haven't seen roaches up here (we live in the mountains) but this is the one area i allow myself to be totally "girly". nothing freaks me out but bugs, give me a mouse or a snake any day. so my favorite way to handle any bug is shriek and scream and cry like a 5 year old and jump up and down and point until my husband kills it for me. he he isn't here, i hide and tell his dog "get the bug" and she won't stop until she finds one. i do not however do this if a spider or bee is involved, if that's the case i grab any can that i have that sprays anything and go for it myself.

buy roach motel they sell it at walmart ot target and also get the gel . the gel its very good you just apply on all corners where ever you see they go more. and in a few days they will be dead on the floor. we had a bunch of them they love to hide on electronics stuff. so becareful. dont use the raid spray it smells bad and dont even work. our roaches are all gone. also try the mouse gel traps they get stuck there and easy fast and goooddddddddddddddd!!!!!!!!!!

Source(s): combat roach killing gel ,mouse glue traps.

Stomp ,spray fumigate them. I hate those nasty things..especially when they fly at you. But ya know>> that gold spray paint might make them more tolerable to look at...dead of course.

Just today (and this is no joke) my friend and I were discussing cockroaches because we both have lived overseas (she in Africa and I in Haiti) where they are plentiful and huge. She told me that that her mother in law would pick them up and with her thumbs flick the heads offs! So gross!

    Me, I used a flyswatter...works well

boric acid will kill them off for good. you can mix it with water and spray it on counters and/or line your base board in the kitchen, you can leave it over night and just sweep it up in the morning. you can also put it around your house outside.

LMAO! thanks for bringing back memories of a single, childless me at 21 years old spraying at roaches in my apartment with air freshener and hairspray!

A frying pan always worked for me. Barring that, use a fogger insecticide.

I usually entrust that duty to my cat.

    Crunch, swallow.

    Such a good kitty!
