RN Programs?

I am going back to school to get my bachelor's and hopefully become and RN. I'm 25 and went to Massage Therapy School after highschool. I graduated but decided not to do work in that field. Can anyone give me any tips on what to look for in choosing a program. Also, is it beneficial to get my associate's first and work as an LPN, then go on to be an RN?

My boyfriend got his LPN and works for a staffing agency making almost twice as much as nurses with RNs. It is great money and he can afford to go get his bachelor while building up experience and finding out which unit or hospital he wants to work for.
