My favorite novel by King is "The Stand" and my favorite short story is "The Long Walk" which was written under the pen name Richard Bachman.

I think it is hard to pick a favorite. If I have to then I have to say that it may just be the most recent book of his that I have read, which is..."The Wolves of the Calla." I love the whole DarkTower series, but this book answered questions I had from other novels of his, so that's it until I read the next one.

Totally agree with a majority of the others: THE STAND.

I've read it several times, even the big fat unedited version that is like 1500 pages. I've read most of his books and they are all very enjoyable, but none like The Stand.

secret Window with Johnny Depp and green Mile with Tom Hanks... hmm i did no longer be responsive to that... i like Steven King!!! His Gunslinger books have been ok yet I cherished the little sequence e book I have been given referred to as "each thing's Eventual"... that is particularly solid and that i would not examine them stunning now. lol.
