What ever happened to teaching kids personal responisbility? Isn't making excuses for everything they do, even if it is wrong, sending the wrong message to them? If this keeps up what do you think is going to happen in the future if no one takes responsibility or makes excuses for behavior? What will society be like?

Kids will lose a sense of responsibility. I hate that victim attitude. I see so many parents in denial about various issues with their kids. Its scary! It doesn't take a village to raise a kid. Its takes a parent with balls to stand up to them and say, "No." or smack them on the *** whenever necessary.

I have little pity for the american educational system as a whole, but I dont blame individual teachers. In fact, I have a great deal of respect for good teachers. Its the system that is screwed up, in my opinion. The system includes the school administration, school board, and everyone in the food chain including the politicians and the courts. But the students and parents share part of the blame. Many students just dont care, and neither do many parents (although parents love to ***** about it and shift the blame to others). Anytime lawyers, Judges, and the Court get involved things will surely turn to **** in a hurry. Lawyers are money-grubbing pigs, Judges are becoming more and more like activists, and the courts should not be used frivolously as it is nowadays. Teachers should not be sued unless they discriminate for race, sex, culture, etc., and teachers should never be forced to change grades to appease politically correctness. That is how most conservative minded people think...unfortunately liberals think otherwise. Poo.

We're in a moral downward spiral. Everyone is becoming a pro at passing the buck... "It's never my fault." It all starts with the parents. If the parents don't instill values and good work ethics in their children, then how can they expect them to become responsible adults? Then what about their children? If people step up when they make a mistake and say, "Yeah, I'm sorry. It was my fault," then this world would be a better place.

A load of poppycock that what I say.

Obviously their parents have much to anwser for. As you previous posting suggests, kids these days are just not learning that with success comes failure. In teh real world if you dont put in teh work, you dont get the rewards. Thats a lesson that every child should learn as soon as they can then we wouldnt have good teachers leaving the system.

As a parent, I took an active role in my child's education. I also had open lines of communication with his teachers, to turn his weakness, into his strengths. I also taught my son personal accountability. He is directly responsible for every action he takes, both academically, and personally. As a result, he recently graduated with honors. He has a sense of responsibility to his fellow man, would help you in any way he could, is respectful of others, and now awaits active duty in the military.

nicely, it relies upon on what that is in line with... I advise, if I have been given a C on a try to that became basically marked as bypass, i could be great happy with the aid of fact I have been given a similar concern as some youngster with an A. It relies upon at what factor you eventually finally end up with the fail grade however. =/

I feel sorry for the teachers nowadays. Why should the teachers pass all students even when they're not qualified? When teachers fail the students, shouldn't they think why they don't pass? We can't always blame others for our failure, right?
