I have not had a job interview in over 6 years. What do you females wear?

Slacks? Suit? Skirt?

It depends on the company at which they are applying, as well as the position. If possible, it's always good to check out the offices beforehand to see what people are wearing, and then choose something similar for the interview. This will send a message to the interviewer that you already fit in with the corporate culture. So either drop by the office yourself or have a friend investigate for you! If you're choosing between two outfits, err on the side of more formal. And no matter WHERE you're applying, DO NOT wear jeans!

You'll want to look the part for the organization at which you're interviewing. There are some recruiters who firmly stand by the suggestion that females should always wear a professional suit (NOT slacks) to their interview. Keep jewelry to a bare minimum, seriously. You do not want to be sitting across the table from someone who is not paying attention to what you're saying because they're focused on the bling in your watch, or the dangling earrings you're wearing. Wear studs, small and non-descript. If you must wear a necklace, wear something small, unassuming; something that doesn't stand out. Wear a watch, but nothing too trendy. Open-toed shoes are a no-no.

I feel that pantsuits are fine, but that's just me. I have worn them to interviews. Make sure it's a matching suit, because you want to look 'together' and sometimes separates just don't cut it. Make sure it looks professional. If you opt for pants, definitely wear heels.

Nothing tight fitting, but that goes without saying.

You can wear either one of the choices you listed. Just make sure that the skirt is an appropiate length, nothing is too tight and that you look very neat and professional
