Best Way to Lose Weight?
I need the best, nutritional way to lose weight. Something that will last forever. I am told that I do not eat enough, but I cannot seem to bring myself to eat when not hungry. I'll take any 'serious' advice. A nutritionist's answers would be greatly appreciated. Especially an exact meal plan/example. I would prefer to avoid pills/medication.
My problem is that I burn more than I take in.......apparently 900 calories is not enough......but as I stated I only eat when I am hungry. I'm not often hungry usually eat once or twice a day and drink a lot of water maybe 1 soft drink a day 4 days out of 7.

I have done so much research on dieting and losing weight, and the only thing that works: eat healthily and exercise. There is no miracle pill or drink that sheds the pounds.
I would suggest starting with 20 to 30 minutes of cardio (swimming, running, jump roping, etc.) for the first week and gradually increasing your workout times. (Jumping from 0 hours to 2 hours of exercise will only make you feel burned out.) Also, remember to give yourself a rest day so you won't feel helpless if you really hate exercising.
When you're on your diet, remember that every food is good in moderation. Cutting out certain foods, like good fats (which are found in nuts, olive oil, seeds), will not help you lose weight; it'll only compromise your health. Try eating a balanced diet including a little from each food group. Whole grains and low-fat dairy products in addition to a healthy diet and exercise have been known to make smaller waists. Foods rich in fiber (whole grains, pastas, vegetables) will fill you up faster and make you feel full longer. Eat smaller portions and cut back on junk food. Don't make your favorite chips forbidden, or you'll only want it even more. (speaking from experience here.) Try subsituting low-fat frozen yogurt for high-fat ice cream, or fat-free Pringles for high fat potato chips. Do a search on yahoo for recipes light in calories but big on taste, and try some. Getting involved in light cooking helps most people get motivated to eat healthier.
Smaller portions are key. Eating five or six small meals throughout the day really helped me lose weight. At first, it seemed like I was eating like a pig, even when I wasn't hungry. Like you, I wasn't hungry that often. But my metabolism skyrocketed after about a week, and the weight just came off. (along with exercise, of course)
Counting calories will help, though it's not completely necessary. For your weight loss goals, you want to keep your caloric intake somewhere around 1,500 to 1,700. An active woman should never get less than 1,400 calories a day, and an active man should never get less than 1,600 calories a day.
Little changes in your diet and lifestyle will help loads. For example, take the stairs instead of the elevator. Keeping a list of heart healthy snacks on the fridge will make junk food less tempting. Instead of topping your cheese sandwich with mayo, make it with a tomato slice instead. Whole grain foods and low-fat milk products have been tested in many weight loss experiments and have been found to help you lose weight. And the almighty sugarless chewing gum: Chewing it helped me stop snacking endlessly and lose 15 pounds over 6 months. (Mind you, it's okay to snack, but it helped me stop snacking on junk food.)
I'm not a nutritionist, but I have done a lot of research on dieting and healthy lifestyles. If you have any questions, you can e-mail me. destefanoak@yahoo.com

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

I'm alittle confused here. You want to lose weight, but you said your burn more than you take in? If you are burning more than you are taking in you would be losing weight.
You have received alot of great advice on here, exercise, eat well balanced meals and cut out the junk foods, fast foods, sweets, etc, and eat a good breakfast, lunch, dinner. Only eat what you can. The weight watchers idea is a great one, this would be a great one for you. If you can't afford to join them, try their frozen dinners, they have a great variety, and you'll be sure of eating the right foods.

I have been successful with weight watchers. They train to to eat healthy while not giving up your favorite foods. I never ate very much, but craved foods in the evening (when you are not supposed to eat). Now I eat breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner and am still losing weight! It's amazing how much my metabolism has skyrocketing just from eating healthy and more frequent. I also must add that I have learned to exercise more and be a bit more active.
