Why are people don't using their real picture instead of avatars?

This is my real picture and that's my friend Candy. I wish some people wouldn't use their real pics. Not you of course. Yours is very nice.

My avatar looks better than a real life picture of me.

because I don't want to. I don't come on here to be judged by how I look, this site is already becoming a dating site the more I read, and I like my anonymity. Plus sometimes peoples photos are more scary than the avatars in my opinion

i think avatrs are a funny way to show urself to people...:)

and it also may be the case with some people who are too shy to just expose themselves to lots and lots of people...

and another reason is that an avatar somehow keeps ur privacy..i also have my picture on messenger, but on answers i only display my avatar because i think it is safer

p.s. : and avatars don't have red eyes! :p ;)

I have been given ill of seeing the yahoo avatar that appeared no longer something like me. i attempted utilising my dogs for a on a similar time as yet his cutest photos are too demanding to verify on the variety of small length. So I basically use me. VNs are nevertheless at a slow fee and the worst i are growing to be is human beings calling me gruesome or stupid looking. which provides me lulz =]

It's supposed to be an anonymous forum. If we all used our real names and pictures, we would be less inclined to say what we do on here. For some, that would be a good thing in my opinion, lol! But for me, it enables me to be more honest and say what I really think - no holds barred!
