calipers are the most accruate reading you can get for cheap. have a personal trainer do it, so it's as accurate as possible. you can go to a dunk tank, which is pretty much the most accurate aside from an autopsy, but it's expensive.

You can use calipers but the most accurate is an immersion test. Call your local health clubs and see if they offer it.
