To all who dont know, like, or understand God?

There are over 10,000 unique Christian cults in the US alone. You can study the bible for the next 500 years and you still won't be in agreement with millions of other people who have chosen a different interpretation.

I was a practicing Christian for over thirty years, studied the bible and religion and I assure you the bible is a book of mythology and supernatural entities ("Gods") do not exist in fact.

Those who claim they "know" what the bible "really means" are either ignorant, dishonest or delusional. No one knows what the bible really means as evidenced by the millions of different interpretation (one you just offered), most of which do not agree with each other.

There is only one principle shared by the majority of Christians and that principle is:

"We are better than everyone else and we can sin all we want with no eternal penalty."

That is not a valid doctrine, it is childish nonsense.

But, to each his own.

I don't believe in perfection. I don't believe in God. The idea of God and religion has destroyed so many lives and killed so many people that I think people would be better off living by values an not by a higher power that they are so controlled by. If there is a God (or a Goddess) I believe it is not as unforgiving as you make it out to be. So if I get pregnant before I am married then I will not go to heaven? If I get an abortion I will not go to heaven? If I was raped as a child and grow up to be abusive I will not go to heaven and will ot please God? I think the Bible has some great words that I live by. But in the religion I do not like that it is so hierarchical and unaccepting. Maybe yours isn't.

I believe in free will and your choice to believe in your faith. I don't like Christians, generally speaking because of the duplicitous nature of their postion. No matter what you say or believe you can not prove God exists, or that jesus is God. You have to choose to believe it. So you can not convert anyone of moderate intelligence using a logical discussion. So the alternative for Christians is to force their beliefs on others while they judge and look down upon anyone who doesn't believe the same things they do. There are hundreds of different religions in the world today. Possibly thousands. Ever single one of them believes that theirs is the truth and everyone else is wrong. Guess what, they can't all be right, but they can all be wrong. No matter how you slice it, no matter what religion you choose, there is always a bad religion.
