FIrst, do you have software that requires that you upgrade the BIOS? You know the old saying, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".
Your motherboard came with instructions FOR that motherboard. You will have to look for that manual... or go online at the manufacturer's website and look for it. If you do not have the proper instructions for that board, it simply won't work.
If you downloaded the proper BIOS upgrade, it may be a ZIP file or other compressed file. That might contain upgrade instructions. Look for a file called README.

Don't do it unless you know you absolutely have to! Upgrading Bios is risky. I downloaded and paid for some from a company called E-Support. It reduced my CPU speed of my PC at the time time from 800 mhz to 750 mhz. There were no other "improvements" from it either.

there should be 2 files . one is the bios update and the other is bios updator !;)
copy this files on a startup floopy .
boot your system by the floopy .
run the updator . it will ask you the update file or maybe show you how use it iin command prompt .

don't know because i've never done that, but why installing is easy just run installation file
It'd be safer if you go to dos mode and do it
like C:/downloads/bios/>setup.exe
