For those who dont support those fighting in Iraq?

While you dont support our troops fighting in Iraq just remember this next time there is a hurricane, flud, or tornado in the U.S.

they are the same troops that...

1 hand out blankets

2 hand out food

3 hand out water

4 rebuild our houses

5 give out toys

6 provide sheltur

7 provide first aide

8 rescue your loved ones

9 search for the missing

you support them but yet you cant support them now, kindda hypocritical now aint it?

Update:

and yes there are people who dont suppoet the troops i see them on here every day. and no i cant spell worth crap so what? and for those that forgot we went to war because of 9-11. i didnt say you had to agree why were still there because i dont. the troops dont decide on which wars they fight they do as they are told, if you want to be mad at anyone be mad at Bush not at the troops.

Update 2:

my hubby was in Iraq for a year, what does that have to do with the fact that i cant spell?

There is a difference in not supporting the war. Doesnt mean the troops arent supported. I support the troops 100%, its not their fault they are fighting in an illlegal war. My daughter collects items and we send them to Iraq I know people over there and they appreciate everything they get. But I also think its time for them to come home. We should not be over there to begin with.

Second if they are over in Iraq fighting then who is handing out the water, blankets, food, what about how devestated NOLA still is and MS. The cities that were hit by katrina are still in a state of disrepair. Those men that are fighting in Iraq could be here helping and get our country back to its rightful self before the next big hurricane hits.

I support 100% the brave men and women in the Armed Forces. They're doing something most of us would never do. I do not however support the "invasion" of Iraq. When will people understand there is a difference? That's like saying because I'm having a bad hair-day I'm not going to wear shoes. One thing has nothing to do with the other. Note: I think it bothers everybody about the spelling because a spell check is provided. It just takes an extra second to use it.

It is ok to help people in countries like Iraq and of course, handing out water or rebuilding houses is nice and kind.

Not nice and kind was the non-existing reason to begin a war and destroy a country only to show afterwards how nice we are handing out water and rebuilding houses that were not even destroyed before we went there (!!!)

To destroy a country and then rebuild it, is not very heroic. Repairing what we destroyed is the only thing we can do to minimise the damage already done.

I pity those soldiers who are believing that attacking Iraq was the right thing to do. I pity the families who lost their sons and brothers while fighting there.

But I do not support the unreasonable attack of another country.

Hopefully, the country will be peaceful soon and the soldiers can go home to their families.

We don't support the troops fighting in Iraq, not because we are hypocrites but because the were reason they are at war is flawed. they should not even be there. its the incompetent political leadership that we are disgusted with. And as far as being hypocrites, how about the fact that now that Iraq has a democratic government, and is deemed capable of holding Saddam Husein on trial, why is it seen as being incapable of conducting a free and fair trial for the Marines who went around on a rampage killing Innocent people? Would you have the same love if the army just barges in one day and starts killing your family for no reason at all? or is it okay.... they were Iraqis who cares about them.

  • get a grip, lady. EVERY ONE SUPPORTS THE TROOPS. It is the administration that people aren't happy with.

Where was the National Guard when Katrina hit? I'd rather them be here to do every thing you listed above than to be killed by a suicide bomber on the other side of the earth.

Don't forget, 2503 Americans have been killed and 18,356 Americans have been wounded.

If jingoism and fake patriotism won wars, the US would win every time.

I don't support the "war" in Iraq, because it was unnecessary, unjustified and (arguably) illegal.

And, that lack of support for the activity ("war") is totally unrelated to "supporting the troops."

Based on my experience as a former MP Sgt in the US Army, "supporting the troops" is one of the most meaningless terms ever invented. The "troops" I escorted to Leavenworth were not worthy of "support" and I did not "support" them.

Presumably, you support murderers & rapists (criminals I escorted to Leavenworth) that wear a uniform.

Simple minded people should not vote, they are incapable of formulating valid opinions due to their simple minds.

ok, seriously? I get what you're trying to say, but no one is going to listen to you when you can't spell worth a damn. flud? sheltur? leave the lectures to someone else, please.

and just for the record, I absolutely support the men and women figting in Iraq. my cousin is over there and I'm very proud of him. but the closed-minded people around here will not take you seriously if you can't even spell what you're trying to say.

I don't know what you're talking about. I don't see people on here everyday not supporting the troops. Just dissing the reasons they are there.

We support the troops. But we don't believe in the reason for being there. Iraq was not a threat. If you think it was your chicken s@#$.

Way to go Heather W. They needed to hear that. I'm very thankful for what our troops do and the hypocrites needed to see that.
