If you go to ur " friends list" of ur friends names........... click in that area. Then let the mouse go on the name. Do NOT click. You will then see 2 things........ the first is their " nickname "" and the 2nd thing is the real Yahoo name. Write the Yahoo name down on paper. Then ............use ur mouse......and RIGHT click the name of ur friend. In the box........ type in the REAL name of ur friend's Yahoo ID. If that does not work..........email back and I will tell u how to go directly to yahoo Mail.

I think you mean the spam code. Its a series of upper and lower case letters and numbers? You have to type them exactly as they are shown otherwise it refuses to send your email. This is supposed to prevent people spamming others happens a lot when you are sending to more than 2 people. But I have noticed that yahoo uses it when they are having problems with their servers (yesterday being a good example!)

The security feature embedded into Yahoo! Mail was designed to stop bots or otherwise unwanted automated programs to utilize a Yahoo! Mail account in attempt to send junk mail to others.
You must type in the code EXACTLY, though usually caps lock does not matter. Make sure what you typed in matches.

Could be your op sys is the problem. Do you use win32 (Micro$oft)? On ubuntu i never have a problem -- it even remembers my name and password -- win32 doesn't.

Did you get a MAILER-DAEMON@ "failure notice"? Maybe whomever you sent to, they reject your mail?
Maybe there's something wrong with the computer of your friend?
Try later.
