5. Every hanyou has a time when he/she loses their powers. As for Inuyasha it is the night of the new moon. He will turn back into a hanyou again when the sun rises/ the new moon passes.

5. The Tetsusaiga also helps Inuyasha keep his demon blood in check. When his life is threatened and Tetsusaiga is not within reach then his demon blood reacts. When it reacts it starts to take over his body so it can defend against the enemy. Each time Inuyahsa turns into a demon it is harder for him to turn back. In his demon form he strives to kill everyone and everything, if he were to stay in his demon state the youkai blood would consume him and destroy his soul.
