Absolutely! I would love to see more plus-sized models out there modeling clothes. It makes sense especially for stores that carry plus-sized fashions - it's really outrageous when I see thin models showing off clothes in magazines from Lane Bryant, Avenue, etc. That way, you know how the clothes are going to look on a larger figure BEFORE you decide if you want to buy them!

I believe you are correct, look at Marilyn Monroe, sized 16. That is average. Many years throughout history, plumper women were admired, (Mona Lisa wasn't thin). There are many links for Modeling Agencies for Plus Sized Women (Which by the way is for women who wear size 12 or higher!!!) A size 12 is PLUS SIZED??? Wow. Anyway head on over to wikipedia and get hooked up with some agencies... or look into it more and support it! Get put on the map!

Hell yeah big girls should be models! I am a beautiful woman but I am NOT a size 2, I am a size 18! I would feel better about myself if I saw more big beautiful women in magazines or on TV.

Depends on what you consider plus size. In the modeling world, plus size is anything bigger than a size 6 when in the real world most of the women wear sizes bigger than that.
I say do it. It would be great to see Plus Size models get what they are due.

I love seeing normal, healthy, curvy gals modeling. It sends a more positive message, letting girls know that you do not have to be a size 2 to be beautiful. Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes, and I for one, am thrilled that there are more and more plus sized models coming out in magazines, and on tv.

runway models are meant to be thin to show off the clothing, but the average American woman is a size 12, so i love to see women in the main stream ads. to be more true to what you see out in public. So glad to see magazines starting to show what a woman really looks like, women are beautiful in all shapes and sizes. :o)

I think there should be both- for it to be very equal. Clothes on thin models show well, but girls with a bit more here and there could be very nice- especially for all of those overweight women out there who probably feel terrible with those skeletons on the runways...

i think there should be plus-sized models. thin models make plus-sized women feel like they can't look sexy in the clothes they model. women should feel comfortable in their skin & plus-sized model would certainly help!

im a girl, but i want to answer this!!!!!
My favorite plus-size store is Torrid, and they wear pretty make-up and clothes and theyre plus-size. Being Plus-Size is cool because now-a-days we have people to talk to, more magazines to look at, etc.
