What might be the reasons why I donot get power supply in only a few wall outlets?

Check your breaker box!

You have tripped a breaker. It's easy to check.... to reset the breaker just turn the breaker to the off possition then back to the on possition. Then go check to your wall outlets to see if they are working. If you have to, turn everything off then back on one at a time.

I see all of these responses telling you to check your circuit box.... there is one other location that you may have a CGFI breaker.... The Bathroom wall outlet. Quite often, this wall outlet, also carries power to the outside outlets... It should have 2 buttons, Test, and Reset. If the reset button is sticking out any at all... its been tripped... push it back in to reset the circuit. If you have anything plugged into it covering the little buttons... uplug that, and check them. It is normally the master bath circuit that feeds the outside, but occasionally it will be the hall bath. Check them both.

Occasionally, you will also find one in the kitchen, but those do not normally power the outside outlets... too common for folks to keep lots of things that use electricity on the countertops for that.

Check circuit breaker in main fuse for a tripped circuit first. Then look for a gfci in the circuit. If the first gfci in the circuit has tripped then it will shut off the rest of the outlets after it, in that circuit.Their is a reset button on the receptacle.

If it tripped it tripped for a reason so if it keeps tripping don't use the appliance it must have a short.

Yup, it sounds like either you blew a fuse or a breaker tripped. Fix that, then make sure none of the other things are running that are plugged into those sockets before you finish washing.

You might want to check your appliances and power washer: Last year when my microwave went bad it started trying to send power surges through my power strip- which incidentally my coffee maker was plugged into. Needless to say, the microwave stayed unplugged until we got rid of it.

most likely the outside outlet has a GFCI circuit, first check the fuses in the basement, reset if necessary, if none tripped you need to Find the GFCI outlet with the test and trip buttons on it. your house May have many so you will have to look around, my outlet in back is actually in the garage and controls the garage and laundry room outlets as well,

There could be two reasons....A a short in the wiring that connect that whole group of outlets or a power breaker or fuse could be blown in you circuit breaker.

First of all you cannot due to the voltage difference. Secondly the static noise from the 120 volt fan would no doubt cause you some computer problems. Is there some logic to this or just a thought.

Yes, flip the breaker switch back. If your house is old and still on fuses, you've blown a fuse. Replace it.

Go outside and reset the breakers.There are breakers for different circuts.
