I understand your pain. I have suffered allot over the years with ingrown toenails. When you clip your nails always make sure you cut them straight across and not too short. You can put some hydrogen peroxide on it to help with the infection, along with continued soaking in epsom salts. If you really want to be rid of the pain for good, see a podiatrist. I would tell you not to have the whole nail removed however. Mine just took out the sides of my nail and left the middle. They treat the base with a chemical to prevent it from growing back. I had mine done several years ago with no more problems. Whatever you do, don't see a regular doctor to have it done. I tried that and went through allot of pain, only to see my nail grow back in a short time. Good luck to you.

Surgery to remove that side of the toenail and nail bed on that side will get rid of the ingrown toenail permanently. Keep nail clipped straight across and not down at the sides.

You probably need to see a doctor so they can give you antibiotics to help clear up the infection. Try soaking your foot in warm, epsom salt. If you find yourself having this problem all the time, you may have to go to a podiatrist and have them remove the nail.

If you can't get to a doctor. Soak your food in ebsonsalt.

Keep it dry...like don't keep socks on your feet all the time.

But becareful. Your toe could swell up 3 times your size so get to a doctor as soon as possible. They will remove the ingrown nail and cut your toe nail in a way that it will never grow that wait again.

we have the same problem with my husband. best thing to do is nothing by yourself. make an apt witha podiatrist and he will cut it out for you and ask to see if there is a way to stop the nail from growing back or else it will keep on doing it (3rd time for my hubby) gl!

Go to a podiatrist and have it removed. They will treat it so it won't come back.
