Without doubt Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs:

Snow White was skipping through the woods when she smelt smoke. She ran and saw that the little cottage was on fire. She ran in and saw little bodies living all around the room. She began to cry. Suddenly she heard sounds from the cupboard, it was a voice singing and it said 'England for the World Cup, England, England'. Snow White exclaimed 'Thank goodness, Dopey is still alive'................

    Wow! good question.

I'd have to say 'Hansel and Gretal'

There's a loving father struggling to meet his children's needs. He is married to a woman who wants rid of them. Money and low, times are hard, food is scarce. The children are released. The love they have for their father is shown by their persistence to return home. Finally they are in the hands of an evil witch. She wants to eat the children. The witch is killed and all her riches stolen by the children. They escape and return home to find their step mother has gone. All is well!

    So in today's society...

A Father is raising his children the best he can. When one day a woman comes into his life. She detests the kids. Money is low and with her HUGE appetite she's eating them out of house and home. He loves this woman...so much that it blinds his love for the children. Child Protective Services apprehends the children and places them in what seems to be a loving foster home. This isn't the case. The children are in danger. Luckily after a long bout with angry people, they are given back to their father. The woman gets kicked to the curb and Dad wins the lottery!!

Hansel and Gretel. We are being temped by "sweets" and emtpy promises that will only be our demise if we go after them.
