Yorkshire Terriers(YORKIES)?

It is best to only feed dog food only. People food such as ice cream is harmful to dogs. It can make them overweight, cause pancreatitis( usually takes IV fluids and a hospital stay to fix) and it also causes plaque to build up on their teeth!! Yorkies are prone to having bad teeth!

Well, it needs to eat dog can food because I have one that eats dis-same thing. EXCEPT chocolate,grapes,and raisins?

Dogs should only eat dog food. Yorkies shouldn't eat canned dog food, only dry food because of their teeth. Canned food can be given once in a while as a treat but sometimes they'll refuse the dry food so you'll give them the other. They're very smart. A little human food once in a while is ok but only once in a while. Too much fat and too many calories will make them to be overweight and unhealthy. Dogs get very spoiled very quickly and know how to "play" us.

Let's be clear that these foods are only used as treats, and only once in a while....

YES, our Yorkie has a baby carrot before she goes to bed. She loves Donut holes, whenever we go through the drive thru at the coffee shop, she gets one (honey glazed is her favourite). And like all dogs, she loves cheese.

Just be careful.remember her stomach is about the size of a golf ball, so too much junk, and she wont eat her dog food. And use common sense, don't give her Jalapenos or anything stupid like that.

Yorkies have sensitive stomachs, my Yorkie eats lamb and rice only, you must be careful, I just went through a round of throwing up because she could not digest her food.

Guess what? Yorkies are DOGS!!!WOW! Dogs eat dog food. Surprise!

Occasional treats are OK but as TREATS!! Or you'll end up w/an overweight,sickly,spoiled brat.

my dog well eat anything hes a golden retriever and he eats anything but chocolate...but for some reason he loves grapes.

Is there something wrong with sticking to a DOG FOOD menu?

It's a DOG, it eats DOG food.
