where can I find info on K9/SAR training?
I recently was adopted by a young redbone coonhound. She's got a high play drive and I was thinking about trying to train her for SAR unless she's better suited for something else. Where can I find out testing to better target her training as well as starting the actual training. She's about 6-7 months old and up until a month or so ago when I started messing with her had no training. She's smart and a good learner - I know some but need details to start her right. I've tried contacting a couple units online but the emails bounce back undeliverable. any contacts/advice appreciated.

Obedience
OUR Obedience program is a four step process.
The first step is EVALUATION. We evaluate your dog so that we can determine the best methods for training your dog.
the next 2 steps are Basic and Advanced obedience. This is a 10 day process in which we board your dog and train him to respond to various commands (Heel, Sit, Stay, Down, Come, Etc.). We start the 10 day program using voice commands which is*BASIC OBEDIENCE*.
As we gain confidence with your pet, we step up to using hand signals instead of voice commands. *ADVANCED OBEDIENCE* Your pet might also be trained to respond off-leash at this point.
The final and most important step is *FOLLOW-UP*. We now train you to handle your pet the same way we do. We give you an instructional video of your pet that was made during his 10 day training. You will need to work your pet everyday at least 15 minutes. You will also be coming to us for follow-up lessons. We will guide you every step of the way. Our reputation depends on your satisfaction.
