The right side of my upper lip keeps twitching...could it be some kind of vitamin deficiency?
It's not constant. It feels like a pulsation.

It's probably stress or caffiene. I take multiple vitamins everyday, and I get eye twitches that drive me nuts! My problem was curbed by cutting down on the caffiene and stress a bit.

Facial twitches are pretty common. As long as it doesn't hurt you and it doesn't persist for more than a week or so, it's probably harmless. It's most likely resulting from stress or caffeine intake, so in this case, magnesium will most likely not help (magnesium helps muscles that twitch because of overexertion after exercise). Probably the only thing you can do is drink lots of water, get some rest and wait it out.

Vitamin B2 or riboflavin deficiency causes cheilosis or cracking of the skin at the corners of the mouth. Lips skin defects may indicate a number of deficiencies. I recommend a high potency multivitamin, a B50 complex, and an essential fatty acid supplement daily. After your lips improve you can stop the B50 pill. Good luck!

Think of whether you have started on new medication since you noticed the twitching. A lot of meds have that as a side effect.

could be the facial nerve is being pressed on. You may want to see a chiropractor that does cranial bones as well. If it is compressed more that could lead to Bell's Palsy which is a paralysis of one side of the face.

It could be a mineral deficiency but it also could be a problem with a branch of the facial nerve.
