I just graduated from UNH with a B.A. in econ, what kind of job should I look for???
I'm a typical college graduate, I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT I WANT TO BE WHEN I GROW UP. Unfortunately, now is the time to grow up. I graduated from the Whittemore School of Business and Economics. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. I studied general macro and micro, international, government regulation, monetary banking and game theory. I live in New Hampshire and am just beginning the job search. I need some direction!!!

With a degree in Econ you can pretty much search throughout the finance field. Talk to UNH, they shoul dhave a job placement office there.

Nice to see another NH person. Contact UNH. They should have some kind of program built in that helps people write resumes and even find jobs. I know that Fidelity Investments in Merrimack is often looking for entry level people and they train you to get your series 7 and stuff like that. Just a thought. Good luck and THANK GOD the rain has ended (I think!)

I am sorry...........You have a degree in Economics, and you don't KNOW???? The time to find out is way past! Hurry up and see what you'd like = apply, interview, get the job, WORK!
I also have a degree , in Bachelor of General Studies, emphasis in Business. I have still not found my niche, and I am 45 years old! Just dive in to the world of work, and I bet you will find out QUICKLY what you do and don't want to do!!!!

Be a generalist. Many companies hire general economists. You could also teach economics at the high school or middle school level. Have you ever thought about applying to any financial institution? Economists also work in the automotive or machinery industry.

Maybe you can find an internship position in one of those fields. It might be a way into a job you like.
