What is Spiritual Blindness?

The Bible attributes far greater importance to spiritual sight than to the physical. Jesus used the occasion of healing the man blind from birth to point out the reprehensibility of the Pharisees because they professed to be those with spiritual sight and willfully refused to come out of their blind condition. They were like those who loved darkness rather than light. (Joh 9:39-41; 3:19, 20) The apostle Paul spoke to the Ephesian congregation about having the eyes of their heart enlightened. (Eph 1:16, 18) Jesus points out that those who profess to be Christians but who are not conscious of their spiritual need are blind and naked, not discerning their pitiful, groping condition. (Re 3:17) Just as being in darkness for a long period of time will cause blindness to the natural eyes, the apostle John points out that a Christian who hates his brother is walking aimlessly in a blinding darkness (1Jo 2:11); and Peter warns that one not developing Christian fruitage, the greatest of which is love, is “blind, shutting his eyes to the light.” (2Pe 1:5-9) The source of such darkness and spiritual blindness is Satan the Devil, who, transforming himself into an angel of light, actually is “the god of this system of things” and the god of darkness who has blinded the minds of the unbelievers so that they do not discern the good news about the Christ.—Lu 22:53; 2Co 4:4; 11:14, 15.

Spiritual blindness is the inability to see or understand anything of the Spirit. Usually because the spirit in the person is still in a seed form, and hasn't been awakened.

sometimes God puts " a spiritual slumber " on people. If they can't "see" the truth, then they are not held accountable for not believing in His word, and therefore do not deliberately choose to disobey the Word. It's His way of being fair. Some people aren't strong enough to choose the right path and this way when they get to Heaven they stand before Him as an innocent. God takes no pleasure in punishing us, He loves and wants to bless all His children not hurt them.

Nicodemus in John 3:1ff was spiritually blind. Jesus told him he had to be born again before he could "see" the kingdom of God. That is not a definition but an example.

Refusing to admit that there might be a spiritual answer to a question. Or sometimes it can apply to people who think they are spiritual, but they are overlooking a new way to look at a problem.

Ask the christians from a web search they are the only ones who know anything about it. Wikipedia only connected it to Anti-Judasism with a 2.9% relevancy. Frankly I'd like to know where the you heard the term.

It probably refers to people who haven't been re-born or born again. But that just conjecture, I'm not going to those websites to find out.
