My ancestor left Durham England in the late 1600's for Henrico Virginia. I was wondering if anyone could give me general background on the political/economic/religious state at the time.

I'm not looking for a specific author, just when someone from the genres that I'm interested in will be in Western North Carolina or Eastern Tennessee. None of the book companies websites have anything like this, and none of the chain bookstores have store specific newsletters.

Leaving home for the first time, I'd like some songs that make you feel good about taking that step. Can be any genre.

I know who's running for president, and I've already made up my mind who to vote for. But I have no idea who's running for what on the state level and on the local level. I went to vote411.org and let's just say lacking info is just the half of it. So, here I am actually wanting to research the issues instead of just picking names and no one will provide me with the names to start with.

The entire floor needs to be replaced, and we are arguing over how many layers of sub-floor needs to go down and the thicknesses. It seems a simple process, rip out the old, check out the levelness of the joists, shim where it's uneven, cut the subfloor where it can be nailed down on the joists, then level it out with self leveling compound then install your floor on top. Am I missing some steps or what?

Fabric doesn't allow the pad to glide, and a plain table top slows it down. right now I'm using a piece of paper and that works fine. But I'd like something I can reuse, I feel bad about throwing the paper away when it gets dirty or ripped. I do like the fact that I can write on my mouse pad.

I have a 1901 house that wasn't much to begin with, and after the "modern" remodel. It's a generic looking box. I found a picture of a 1901 three story house that I think my home could become. I don't know when I'd actually do the remodel, but I'd like to have drawings to show the contractors when I do.

I'm a nudist, not an exhibitionist. I don't get a sexual thrill from displaying my body I just don't happen to like clothes very much. Yet, I have people assuming that because I'm comfortable with my body that I'm free with my sexual favors. Or they assume that I'm flirting with them or their boyfriends. Why? I'm rude and don't like people staring at me, so it's not my behavior that's considered a turn on. I'm fat, so it's not like I'm an escapee from playboy. But I'm not going to wear clothes to make others feel good when they are invading my private space. I've only been nude in public once, the rest of the time I'm just living my life as I see fit. I don't understand the preoccupation with my naked body, people see naked bodies all the time on tv, in magazines, and etc. You'd think people would be indifferent to the whole thing.

I've got a lot of cd's with scratches on them, what is the name of a program or the type of program that will allow me to restore my audio to original quality?

I've collected information about both of them, and I think they should go together but I have no idea what broad catagory to put them in.

My house was built in 1901, and I'd like to give a nod to that in every room in the house and the landscape as well. I'd like to have a designer come up with some drawings that I can look toward as I furnish and remodel the house myself a little at a time. I have no intention of undertaking a massive debt to fund a remodeling project, so can I pay a designer for basically their drawings and story board of my house.

It's a mill house built in the same style as about 100 others on my road, but it's been renovated to where it looks like a new home. I want to add some period details with a nod to the time period, but something still in keeping with the open airy feeling it has now. I've heard 70% strontium for every unit of barium, or 75% barium to strontium. I need to know if you add more or less strontium for the barium, and at what percentage.

A charger can be from what to what inches? Dinner plate? How tall is a soup bowl/cereal supposed to be and what diameter? A salad plate versus a saucer? I'm making a dinner service and I need to know, please help me.

We have one of those 3 ft inflatable pools, we've treated it with pool shocker 4 in 1, the spa tablets, and even clean the filter everyday with bleach. But the pool is still green, what's wrong and how do we fix it.

He's allergic to flea shampoo, allergic to the flea bites, and is suffering. The vet put him on Frontline and a hypo-allergenic shampoo, but it wasn't affective. He would still get bitten, and his reaction would start all over again. We've treated our yard, flea bombed the house, and shampooed our other dog, but somehow they still find him. We need a way to kill them before they bite, preferably something to put around the house and on him. We've spent hundreds of dollars on things that don't work, and I don't mind the expense but it's kind of a pinch to bomb, treat the yard, shampoo him with special shampoo, shampoo the other dog, treat them both with Frontline, and so on every time he has an outbreak. So would someone please tell me what gets rid of fleas.

I took elementary Koine Greek at LRC, but I've forgotten most of what I've learned. So I'm learning it all over again from the book, but I don't have the answers. So could someone be my buddy and correct my answers and help me retain what I'm learning.
