Why is nudity thought to be a statement of sex?
I'm a nudist, not an exhibitionist. I don't get a sexual thrill from displaying my body I just don't happen to like clothes very much. Yet, I have people assuming that because I'm comfortable with my body that I'm free with my sexual favors. Or they assume that I'm flirting with them or their boyfriends. Why? I'm rude and don't like people staring at me, so it's not my behavior that's considered a turn on. I'm fat, so it's not like I'm an escapee from playboy. But I'm not going to wear clothes to make others feel good when they are invading my private space. I've only been nude in public once, the rest of the time I'm just living my life as I see fit. I don't understand the preoccupation with my naked body, people see naked bodies all the time on tv, in magazines, and etc. You'd think people would be indifferent to the whole thing.

I'm a home nudist too. I spend as much time as I can naked. I don't get turned on by being nude any more that I do when I wear clothes. I'm definitely not overly sexual. I've only had one long term bf and I'm not really looking to have a relationship now. I'm not very curvy and have small boobs, so I'm no playboy model either, but people know I don't wear a bra and I've always been comfortable being nude in locker rooms and around the dorm, so other girls think I'm easy. A few guys who I turned down said some things about me and I'm sure that has something to do with it too.
Do what makes you feel good. I'm living by myself this year so I can be nude as much as I want. I'll get dressed if people come over, but if people show up unannounced and catch me outside nude in the yard, I'm not going to apologize for it.

Biblical example of Adam and Eve equates nudity with evil in the minds of believers. Influence is so strong in majority-Christian countries that it becomes a basic moral statement.

It's a Pavlovian response.
As a rule, people get nude to have sex. Thus to the ignorant, nudity=sex.
They're drooling idiots.
