No way, Dontrelle is staying with the Marlins. W/o him, the Marlins will have no pitching. They are building the team around him and Cabrera. If anywhere he would go, It prolly be to NYY.

Although Florida is tempted, they don't have any desire to trade their ace in Dontrelle Willis anywhere, not even the Red Sox. Adding a starter won't hurt the Sox, but the realistic chance of getting Willis is very slim. Florida did most of their fire sale this past offseason, already trading Josh Beckett, Mike Lowell, Carlos Delgado, Paul LoDuca, Juan Pierre and among others, while letting go of A.J. Burnett, for salary dump, just because they couldn't get financing on a new stadium. The result of the offseason has turn out well for the Marlins, despite the record. Guys like Hanley Ramirez, Dan Uggla, Mike Jacobs, Josh Willingham, and Jeremy Hermida are producing solid numbers and giving protection for star 3B Miguel Cabrera. The rotation is OK for the most part. Trading Dontrelle Willis would be a good thing for the Marlins, mostly of the money he's going to command in the near future, but Florida save enough money on their payroll to resign Willis to a big contract in the near future, while keeping the team competitive (enough to make the playoff in the next few years). So therefore, I don't see Willis going anywhere by the trade deadline.

No. There is soo much hype about the Marlins trading Willis that in the end they won't trade him at all. If they do I will be totally surprised.
Go Sox!!!

Willis isn't going anywhere. The Marlins are in second place and actually could end up being buyers, not sellers, at the deadline.

No. Willis will stay right where he is. I was hoping the Yankees would get him, but no, Florida will not let him go, he's too good to give up for a trade.

It's DONTRELLE *sigh* I don't think we will get him- but yet one never knows what's going to happen until that deadline arrives.
