Not that the local restaurants have anything better than home-made... but good cornbread and turnip greens and chess pie and corn-on-the-cob and green beans and sweet potato pie and banana pudding and cole slaw and BBQ pork and home-made ice cream and fried chicken seem to be MUCH better South of the Mason Dixon Line.
The list could be MUCH longer but I've gotten myself so hungry thinkin' and typin' that I need to leave this keyboard and go wrestle me up some grub !!!!!
