How many other Americans wished they lived somewhere else?

I want to move to Canada after I get out of college. Anyone else fed up with our country?

Update:

Ok, calm down. I do love certain aspects of America, in fact, a great many of them. I am certianly not leaving right now, and havent decided anything. I am just wondering what other people think. Those of you that insist it is so great here, it would be nice if you said why. And realize that by saying fine, leave, you dont give yourself or our country a very good name. It just makes you look immature and somewhat stupid. So please, there is no need to be rude or angry in your responses, just tell me what you think. Convince me to stay, if you will.

That which makes America so attractive and so powerful is the IDEAS upon which it is based. And it is not just the specific ideas which are stated explicitly or even implicitly in the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, or any other great document or speech or proverb. The key is that we are dedicated to seeking the most accurate ideas regarding man's nature and the form of self government that allows each individual man to seek his full potential in terms of financial security, physical security, emotional peace and well being, and spiritual ascension.

President Abraham Lincoln said in his Proclamation for a National Day of Fasting, Humiliation, and Prayer on April 30, 1863: “We have been the recipients of the choicest bounties of heaven. We have been preserved these many years in peace and prosperity. We have grown in numbers, wealth, and power as not other nation has ever grown.”

Many envy the institutions and economy that ensure our dominance; others deeply resent us for the same. But all are watching our example—and all understand, at some level, that the stability of the world today rests on the ability of our system and economy to endure. Yes, as a nation we have made mistakes. However, there is no other nation I would rather live in. A nation where you can criticize the government, buy a house where you want to, drive to any state for any reason, and still have the right to burn a flag if you so chose. We are a great nation with many freedoms.

Our 6th President, John Quincy Adams, said, “Posterity-you will never know how much it has cost my generation to preserve your freedom. I hope you will make good use of it.”

So it is my opinion that we are free.

I am an American by choice (naturalized). It is sad that you don't see how good you already have it. Sure, we have problems and many are serious. But, in most of other worlds, people do not have what you take for granted.

I still believe, this country is what you make of it, not what this country is making you. You'll be surprised, in most other countries, no matter how much effort you put into it, you can't chagne much. I'm not talking about changing the society, I am talking about improving your own situation....

America - love it or leave it. The grass is not always greener on the other side. If you prefer to live somewhere else, quit complaining and go. Besides your family and friends, you probably won't be missed.

Move to Canada then. That would be one less Socialist product of the crappy US Collegiate system.

You'd love Canada. Enjoy your 20% GST Tax.

I will buy you a one way ticket out if you promise never to step foot on U.S. soil again. You don't deserve to be here. Canada will be a good place for you. Cry to Mommy when you get homesick.

No, I would not want to live anywhere else. If I did have to move, I'd move to Canada, because it's so close to the U.S..
