    A. Cut it up and put it with other garbage in your new can.

    B. Fold, mash, and otherwise flatten (like a tin can, only bigger) if it's a metal can, and put with other garbage as above.

    C. Find a very large contractor's-weight trash bag and put the whole trash can into it. Discard with other garbage.

    D. Leave it empty and put a sign on the side: PLEASE TAKE THIS CAN WITH THE GARBAGE. THIS IS TO BE COLLECTED AS TRASH. (Or some similar sentiment.) Turn upside down when you put by the curb, if there is a chance others might put garbage into it.

Just don't put any stuff in the garbage can that you're trying to throw away. I'm guessing that you're replacing it so just put the garbage in the new can or in a garbage bag and probably put a large note on the garbage can that you're trying to throw away saying something like "please dispose of this can".

anybody generates about 10lbs of garbage in accordance to day. I used to artwork in the landfill market and the final length of a on a daily basis "cellular" is 11 - 20 acres. in multiple of the States I labored in they could heap up 325' of compacted fill (trash) from the sub-grade, then it had to be capped and given lower back to nature. So, if you should do the mathematics for one landfill (there ought to correctly be many in a unmarried city) of a 11 acres squared of compacted trash. Then discover out the inhabitants and also you may see why trash service is so severe priced. you won't be able to easily unload the stuff on the floor. It should be coated with clay and / or plastic, and there are letchete strains, letchete ponds and methane flares or fix structures. Then even as they are finished, a similar element takes position to the real.

Put it out empty and put a note on it saying please take me. Or crush it flat, then they will realize it is no longer in shape to be used and take it. If you cut it in pieces and stick it in a trash bag (or another garbage can) they will usually get the hint. Alternatively, you could try phoning your trash service and tell them that the can with the yellow ribbon on it has to go.

    One of two ways.

Cut it up with a box cutter and then throw it in another garbage can in pieces.

If you can't cut it up for whatever reason, label it TO BE DISPOSED OF (or somthing of that nature) and if you think the collectors in your area won't see the sign, then you can just wake up when they are outside and tell them to take it away along with the trash,

    Goodluck!

Put a sign on it or spray paint it "Trash" or "Take."

They may only take it on heavy trash pick up day.

Yep, I agree with many others, take it to the dump.
