Slate top can usually take almost every temperature as long as its not to the extreme. Slate top is a stone so it does not contract or shrink. It should be ok to put it in your garage. If your garage is always cold n damp, then make sure you iron the table before playing to take the moisture away :)

It won't matter too much as long as the temperature doesn't fluctuate wildly. The balls will also roll differently depending on whether it's cold and dry, or hot and humid...so it may take a few practice games to get the feel of the table each time.

On the plus side, if you're used to the table already...play people for money before they have a chance to get a feel for the table...you'll clean up!

doesn,t really matter too much as long as it is a consistant temp.------of course you don,t want it stupidly hot or cold----
