Definitely Zero Odor! It is amazing... There were three dogs in my house before I moved in and then I had a dog. After my dog died I really noticed the smell. I recently bought Zero Odor and there is no odor in my house anymore... it is amazing stuff!

To get the stains out, we always use Resolve. I can't even begin to tell you the wonders that stuff works. However after we resolve, we Febreeze as well just to cover up a little more of the odor. I've found that Febreeze doesn't work horrendously well as a stain-remover, but is great for odors, whereas Resolve is great for stain-removing, but not so good at covering up odors.

Also if you're tried that and it's not working, there's definitely nothing that work as well as a good steam cleaning. You can rent the equipment inexpensively at Safeway or your local store similar to that, and you'll be amazed at the results, and your carpet will look like new.

I own a dog and asked the same question. I use Fantastic to remove the stain. But that's only half.Believe it or not, dogs are CLEAN animals. So when they pee on the carpet, they will ALWAYS go back to THAT spot, because they marked it. Now, Vinager is the ONLY thing to get rid of the smell, and you have to scrub it. Once it's been done with both, the stain is gone, and your dog WON'T remember where they marked!

Go to the pet store and buy an enzymatic cleaner. There are a couple of different brands, but they do not work if you have already used another cleaner first. Make sure to completely saturate the spot, all the way through the carpet.

I have heard everything in the book, but what seems to work for me is first cleaning it good, then use windex or amonia on the top, pull the carpet up and spray the bottom with bleach. Babysat a leaker dog once and never again.

To eliminate pee-pee odor, first use paper towels to blot up as much of the wetness as you can. Then saturate a clean paper towel with WHITE VINEGAR and rub it in. Your room will smell like a pickle for a short while, but that won't last long and it will take the odor away. For cheap, too!
