Crunches or situps wont help anyway. You need to do regular cardio excercises such as running or biking and eat right. Reduce caloric intake in your diet by eating less simple sugars and more protein and vegetables. But then again, this is easier said than done.

The only way is to lose body fat, you can not target weight loss to an area. Cardio, weight lifting, and supplementing with CLA are a good way to go. Also if you can tolerate dairy, three servings a day can help as dairy calcium is good for fat burning.

Eating lots of fruits and veggies as well as lean protiens. Six small meals a day averaging 100-300 calories per for a total of around 1600-1800.

cardio, riding a bike or something to that effect.

You will get better at it and be able to do it for shorter periods more effectively, or longer periods more steadily.

I was not overweight by any means earlier in life (under 3% body at, but I did have knee surgury and so stopped workign out 3 years ago. I gained a gut and then when I got tired of looking at it I started riding my bike. You can adjust the seat to be most comfortable on your back. Then go for a ride.

I lost the weight in a couple months then started working out at the gym.

I can't do certain exercises myself due to a disc problem in my lower back, but I still ride the bike and my cardio keeps me "ripped" as some say. My body fat is probably below 4% again.

Unless your doctor said you cant you should do crunches etc. Even IF he told you so you should. It all depends if you feel pain while doing the excersise, if it hurts stop it, if it doesnt keep on doing it. But if your just looking at losing body fat the only and true way to go is diet, excercise and determination. I had major back problems too but I still played at least 4 basketball games a day when in the league I was in. Yeah it hurt like a ***** but sometimes you gotta just push through it. Another helpful tip to numb the pain during exercise..... PAIN KILLERS!! the wonderful drug that keeps you going

Just a helpful tip: make sure to get at least 8 hours of sleep. Sleeping hours before 12 am are the most precious. Without proper sleep, your body activates more insulin, even moreso after midnight. I'm not saying this is going to melt away the pounds or anything, but it's good advice to remember.

First treat your back, otherwise it will increase with exercise. There is no other way to loose weight than to exercise.

Running, jogging and aerobocs are good exercises to loose tummy fats.

Need to talk to your doctor but I never do sit ups instead I ( in standing position) lean back slightly every chance I get back and forth like a standing sit-up
