Name this plant? 4 mons, 20', woody stalk, simple opp. leaves 12-18" across & heart shaped, fuzzy stems & lvs.

I had a plant come up in my backyard this spring. It's now 20' tall. I want to know what it is before I cut it down. It has now developed a woody stalk, leaves are heart shaped, simple, opposite, & fuzzy. The leaves are 12" across on the lower branches and 18-24" across on the upper branches. Leaf branches come right off of stalk. I thought at first it was a type of okra plant but it has never flowered or given fruit, nor have I seen one grow this tall. It came up voluntary on the north side of my house, full sun, well drained slope, edge of an old pine forest. I live in zone 7 in north Georgia. The stalk is as big around as my arm at the bottom and still pretty thick at the top. I'm not even sure if this is a weed, tree, or what. It seems pretty stable & continuing to grow. Because of the woody stem, I would lean toward it being a tree but really have no clue. Any help would be appreciated. I would like to cut it down if bad or keep it if it is a good one. Please help.

Paulownia tomentosa, Empress Tree, Cut it down! It is an invasive weed species that grows into a tree that is very weak wooded and will only live about 15 - 20 years. It was imported from Asia and escaped cultivation.

The number of times your account has been terminated indicates to me that there are those out there that believe you have no heart at all and that the doctor hasn't a clue what (s)he is talking about. You should get over it and tell people "I Left My Heart In San Fransisco" ala Dean Martin. (or at least somewhere on the west coast....)
