  • We have a 2003 Cadillac Deville. Yesterday it began dying when it is idling.?

We will crank it and it will cut out sometimes and when we are driving down the road we have to keep the foot on the gas while we brake. We tried pulling the battery cable and left it over night to reset the computer system but it did not work.

  • GE Profile Washer signal light on but will not run?

When I turn on my GE Profile washer, the signal light comes on and flashes but will not run. I also cannot change the temp setting or load level. It stays on the same setting. I have tried unplugging and plugging back in but it goes back to same setting. This is something that just happened. It was working fine a day ago.

  • Question for people who show dogs.?

What do you use when you have an early ring time (say around 8-9am) and have to be in groups (around 3-4pm) and you have a dog who is "fading"? I have tried pedalyte, gatoraide, letting him sleep, playing with him just before groups, herbal supplements, vitamins, etc. It is such a long day for him. We are fine if we have our first ring time around lunch or after but the early morning - and I have groom dogs so I have him on the table as early as 6am. Any tips or suggestions?

  • Where is the best place to research modes of transportation in 1750-1800 England?

I have tried to google this and cannot find what I am looking for. I am looking for a description and pictures of the different types of carriages and horse and buggies. I am also interested in photos and descriptions of ships that were common in the ports during that time period.

  • Help with van battery.?

On my way home today from work, I noticed my battery light was on. When I looked at the gauge, the arm was in the negative. The radio was not on. The car never acted up. When I got into my drive way, I turned off the van and it cranked back up but the light was still on. I have had the van for about 3 years and I am thinking that the battery just needs to be replaced. Is there anything else I should check before I skip work tomorrow to get a new one? By the way, I did open the hood and looked at the cables. They were not corroded and the battery - well, looked like a battery!!

    Thanks

  • Why does my a/c keep freezing up?

My a/c started freezing up about a week or so ago when some really hot weather started hitting. It will run for about a day and some cold air will come out - but not really strong - and then the unit out back will freeze (with ice). I let it thaw out and turn it back on and the fans start up and all and the house slowly gets cool but then the next day it freezes again. I have replaced the filter and made sure several times it was in the right way. What should I check next? I do not have the money for an expensive service call and it is 100 degrees out there today in the shade. This unit has worked up until now and I have seperate units for the upstairs and downstairs. The one I am having trouble with is on the main level.

    Thank you

  • Name this plant? 4 mons, 20', woody stalk, simple opp. leaves 12-18" across & heart shaped, fuzzy stems & lvs.

I had a plant come up in my backyard this spring. It's now 20' tall. I want to know what it is before I cut it down. It has now developed a woody stalk, leaves are heart shaped, simple, opposite, & fuzzy. The leaves are 12" across on the lower branches and 18-24" across on the upper branches. Leaf branches come right off of stalk. I thought at first it was a type of okra plant but it has never flowered or given fruit, nor have I seen one grow this tall. It came up voluntary on the north side of my house, full sun, well drained slope, edge of an old pine forest. I live in zone 7 in north Georgia. The stalk is as big around as my arm at the bottom and still pretty thick at the top. I'm not even sure if this is a weed, tree, or what. It seems pretty stable & continuing to grow. Because of the woody stem, I would lean toward it being a tree but really have no clue. Any help would be appreciated. I would like to cut it down if bad or keep it if it is a good one. Please help.
