Any interest in a consortium to grow and refine sugar cane into methanol in Mexico & Central America?

Brazil is doing amazing things with sugar cane. Is it not possible to provide great jobs and opportunities for our neighbors to the south while producing a vitally important energy source? We could solve some pollution, immigration, poverty, and energy problems without government intervention, and probably make a tidy profit doing it. Not to mention free rum for the shareholders!

I can hear the reasons now, " No because it takes too long to convert, we dont have the technology....etc"

Sound great but is it practical?

they could do the same thing in India. And there would be lots of intrest by energy firms.
