why do so many people ask questions on here about their health instead of just going to a doctor to find out??

They just want to think of something to do.

Because some of us don't like the western aproach to health. Their idea of getting better is, "Go home, take 2 asprin and sleep it off." Sorry about overgeneralizing but it's true. Some others know that there are more doctors that don't have a clue what they're talking about, they just know what they've read in books and what they've dealt with in past patients. Also, most people have has the same things happen to them physically that others have had, and that have been solved and it is much easier to post a question in the hopes that someone had the same thing happen to them and get a quick answer than to go to the doctor, wait for an appointment, go in, spill your guts and then have him say, "I have no clue, lets do a few tests and I might have an explaination for you in a few weeks." So there, that's why we come here instead of going to your 'we have an answer for everything' doctors.

I'm sure they ARE going to the doctor to find out what's wrong with them. But until that appointment they like to get the opinion of people on here. I'm sure someone ISN'T diagnosing themselves from this. That's crazy.

I'm sure some of them do, however it takes time to get an appt and if its on the weekend the Dr's office isn't open, then their are those who cant afford to go to the Dr office, since most of them charge you upfront or wont take you if you don't have insurance.

It's easier to ask a faceless group than to have to spill your problems or embarrassing questions in person to the doctor.

Cause doctors give you the answers you want to hear. If you ask can this become cancerous answer 'It can be treated don't worry' They just take all your money and you DIE!!!

Because, man! Doctors are expensive. This is free!

i think because people are affraid to go to the doctor, just like myself

No idea man, but some things are psychologicals maybe they are just crazy.
