Since I came up in that generation of advertising, that's one thing I am glad is gone. I remember having a crush on the Marlboro man. Advertising and marketing has a powerful influence on not just children but adults also.

People today are to dramatic. They have to have something to b.i.t.ch. about. Thats an American way. What I find funny is this..Fast food clogs ur artireies and causes, obiesity, heartattacks, and heart diesease, howver we still advertise it with clowns(Robnald Mcdonald) and make it all seem so cool, yet fast food causes bad health problems too and u dont see any crying about that. And ppl say the smoking ads tyarget teens and all that bullshit, thats just an excuse for the parents to blame someone else, when its thier fault they cannot control thier own kids, and dont talk enough about the dangers with thier kids. I myselkf am a former smoker, and I see nothing wrong with ads with cartoons, I find it hard to belive nor understand how people can actually say oh I or my7 kid started all because of the ciggerrte companies using cartoons. If you start smoking you do so at your own risj . Most smokers ( I would have to) would still smoke if the advertismernts showed a big black lung.
