Sudoku ---any ideas on a good book-puzzle for Sudoku?
I want to give it as a gift for a friend who's in the hospital. She'll be out of commission for a while.
Strategies and shortcuts are also welcome..
Thanks,

There's TONS of books out there. BarnesAndNoble or any Borders bookstore should have many different.
If she's going to be in the hospital for a while.. or just generally out of comission for quite some time.. Let me recommend getting her a Nintendo DS Lite w/ a copy of Brain Age. It has a few puzzles as well as an excellent version of Sudoku!!
There's also a few Sudoku games for the Nintendo DS.
Highly recommended.. I have a DSLite and I love it :)

any book-puzzle for sudoku is gonna be great....but u can look for one with a large number of puzzles...and it's also good when it's divided into different difficulty levels..
so look for the largest number of puzzles AND levels of difficulty...the more the better

Until she finishes her first puzzle, she will hate this diversion. Does she have time to finish her first puzzle? Start on the left and try to find all numbers for the blocks on the top. (Ha. Ha.) Continue down the puzzle until you have eliminated all numbers, then start top to bottom, left to right. I hated this until I solved my first puzzle. Then, I was hooked. Are you sure you are a friend? (Just teasin')
