What is your position on stem cell research using embryos that would be destroyed anyway?

I am all for this procedure if it will help save lives...Or look at all the umbilical cords that could be used for stem cell research. They too are just thrown away....As long as no babies are hurt or aborted for this purpose only!

Not sure, the fact is there is stem cell research that uses other stem cells besides the ones from abortions. At birth, there are stem cells in the umbilical cord, adults have stem cells in different parts of their bodies at all time. There are stem cells to be had with out abortion and maricle cures have come from these.

I am pro-choice for the most part but it scares me that anything could lead to abortion being done for profit. There just seems something wrong about that.

The fact is stem cells can be got from other means than abortion and that is a road I think this nation needs to go down. Plus embryonic stem cells so far have caused massive tumors in the test they have ran.

Bush is against abortion because he believes (as I do) that destroying an embryo is killing a baby. Allowing the use of embryos for such purpose would be hypocritical of his views. Bush is not a hypocrite.

I have no problem creating new embryos expressly for the purpose of research. Maybe they could figure out how to grow back the foot I left in S.E.Asia.

I'm with Bush on this. I lost my husband, Mom, Dad, favorite Aunt and best friend to Cancer, but I still don't want them used. My Grandma died of Altzeimers and now my Uncle has it. I am Diabetic and have Lupis. It will grow into many other things once we start.
