Rotars (sp?) are stuck on my 97 expedition, cant get them off, help!?
Changing break pads, rotars are very grooved, but totally stuck. (yes, we've removed all the nuts). Any tips? PS-we've tried pounding, heating to expand, and oiling)

On this vehicle you most always have to replace the rotors because they seize to the hub. We usually have to heat or cut them off. When installing the new one be sure to apply an anti-seize lubricant to the hub. This was a problem with those year Ford trucks.

Go to Auto Zone, and buy the big two arm puller they have on the shelf. Around 20.00 to 25.00 Dollars.
Hook the arms squarely on the back of the rotor.
Tighten, but stand to the side a bit.
If it tightens until you can't move it anymore with a half inch ratchet, let it sit, and once again stand to the side a bit, and then strike the back side with a hammer.
It will pop off, with some force, just keep your self clear a little.
When you install the new ones, put a liberal coating of "Never Seize" on the mating surface of the rotors. This will assure the next time they won't be stuck.

not sure if they used them on this model or not but on some vebicles the manufacturers use a retainer over the wheel stud to hold the rotor into position. This would be under the lugnuts up tight against the rotor. If there is one of these in place you will not get the rotor off until you remove it or break it.

try look ing for a spot where a screw gos in that is facing the hub sometimes you need to push a screw thru this spot to force the rotor off Ive seen it on volvo but yours may be the same and if its rear make sure you dont have the pk break on
