Anyone else having a problem with false yahoo email notification?

Question

I have my homepage set to www.yahoo.com and stay logged in.  When I open a browser (home and at work) it says I have 5 new messages.  I checked it and cleared the emails, went back to www.yahoo.com and refreshed my browser and it still says 5 new messages.   A girl at work is having the same problem except her's says 4 new messages.  I've tried logging out and back in and nothing is working.  Anyone else having this problem or know how I can fix it?

I'm having this problem too!  It's only happened today, never before.  I have no idea why but it's annoying me as I keep checking back thinking I have new email!

I've even tried deleting the cooking and files from internet options but this doesn't help.

Please let me know if you find out what the problem is!!

Yeah, it's a glitch in the main system at the moment. My tool bar won't refresh after I check my messages and my homepage keeps saying I have 4 messages. It'll be fixed soon. It's happened before.

mine did that about two months ago. I think it  is the yahoo mail servers that need to be reset. It stopped doing it after about 4-5 days.  Also, on your 'my yahoo' page, do you have 'mail preview' on it? I deleted it off the page and the next day re-added it and it was all cleared out. I also unloaded my toolbar that day. Might have been coincedence though....

Mine says 5 new emails also, but i dont bother, it ownt budge so i really check it intsead of reading that
