uh oh Bush is being stupid again?

Not again - still. He's never ceased being stupid. He takes a stupidity pill in the morning when he crawls out of his cave and scratches himself in true cave man fashion and another one at night when he goes back in. In between time, he does some of the dumbest things and says some of the most ridiculous things that have ever been uttered by a human being (and that's giving him credit for being something he really isn't).

You have to love his pronouncement about stem cells: "They're babies." No they aren't you fool - they're cells that are going to be destroyed and could have been used to help people. If they're babies, shouldn't the people who toss the cells be arrested for murder?

The key word is MIGHT. I don't understand why the gov has to be in this debate anyway. When was the last time the gov found a cure for anything? If I recall, it was people who came up with cures for diseases. I think that research should be done in the private sector as "the people" are the answer, not "the gov".

I am not necessarily for stem cell research since I believe that life starts at conception. However, what do we do with all of these embryos? What if the stem cells could save lives? It is a wave of emotions I ride on this issue. But, I do not believe the gov should be involved in research.

Bush didn't veto stem cell research, he vetoed Federal funding of certain types of embryonic stem cell research. The word might doesn't begin to convey how speculative the promises for this type of research really are. As of right now there are ZERO approved treatments, and ZERO research studies that have advanced as far as the human trial stage.

BTW, Bush is the only President to allow Federal funding of ANY kind of embryonic stem cell research. In 2001 he approved funding that was never allowed while Clinton was in office.

For those who insist Mr. Bush is stupid: His SAT score was 1,206, and that was before the scores were "re-normalized" (read inflated) Care to share YOUR score? Did you even TAKE the SATs? I thought not.

Okay, so of your "undisputed facts" (that our credibility, our word, our honor, and our children's future are at stake) the only one of the four that hasn't been utterly butchered and wrecked by Bush's unprovoked invasion of Iraq is the last. Our credibility is shot. We haven't done what we said we'd do in Iraq, which was establish an inclusive secular democracy. No, Islamic law is now enshrined as the highest source of authority by none other than the new Iraqi constitution. Our word is shot. We assured the world that we were going in to stabilize Iraq and rid it of prohibited WMD and Saddamn's regime. The best we could manage was getting rid of Saddamn, at a hellish cost to Iraq's national security and stability. Oh well. Our honor is shot, too. There have been so many mistakes and massacres that 75% of Iraqis want us out, and over half feel it is justifiable to use force against Ammerican troops. The only hope we have left is our children's future. Are you ready to throw that down the toilet as well in the misguided belief that it will rescue the other three? I'm not.

I feel bad for the next president in terms of fixing everything that Bush botched up....I think that he did a terrible thng by veto-ing stem cell research....Like u said...it can save millions of lives....

save millions of crapy low lives ,who would kill a living person to prolong there sinning way of life,ya reserch it ,buy it,smoke it ,etc,killing is a motal sin at least for christians,muslims i rally dont think they would be botherd by such things,mabee with that type of murder ,the bloodletting would simmer down a tad in the middle east.and poeple ,sinners could live longer than the fuckan oil....oh by the way bush ****** runs government like he sees fit too ,he is a guinus...**** save millions of lives ,,indeed
