Anyone develop food allergies later in life?

Yes, I am severely allergic to chocolate (as of last year) and my refusing to accept this put me in the hospital last November. Now I have to carry an epi-pen with me everywhere I go. And I no longer want chocolate. I am also allergic to tuna, coffee, tea, coke, pepsi, etc. etc. etc. If you are allergic, please stay away from what you are allergic too. Allergies can and do kill!

My brother did. About 10 years ago. He is allergic to ketchup. Instead of ketchup for fries and burgers and what ever else he would put it on, he now uses mustard or ranch dressing.

i had allergies since i was born..i grew into my allergies.but im allergic to seafood,milk products,corn.im also allergic to dust,dust mites,grass,trees,horses,cats,dogs,cockroaches...etc.i have too many allergies to name them all, but i take zyrtec n flonase.i also had asthma all my life,so i cant take allergy shots cause my breathing is not under control.my asthma has developed into emphysema(lung disease) n ive never smoked.so be careful of allergies cause they creep up on ya.i wish u well.

YES! I guess that's pretty common my best friend got the allergy for nuts at age 24!!!! Awful!!!

Yellow food coloring about 6 years ago. It's hard to avoid, but it definitely keeps me away from food or candy.

Walnuts make my mouth itch, so I can't have any baked goods with them in it. It never used to bother me, when I was little. As we grow older our bodies change.

first of all, let me express my sincere condolences!!! i thank goodness that i became a little lactose intolerant but thats about it!!...soy milk and almond milk tastes so good!

I became lactose intolerant. fortunately I can buy lactose free products.

yes, everything changes as we age....even our skin...that really puzzles me..foods I love, creams I put on me...even the soap...

i think i'm allergic to lemon/ lime, it gives me headache.
