Do you think atheists...?

... pray to and accept God and Jesus while on their deathbed?

Update:

Hey, thanks mike6733 on the bit about Jesus being a Jew and not a Christian... I did not know that (kidding, there were no Christians until after he died). But how lame is it to think all of this... the world, people, development of language, automobiles, computers, etc. all happened because some atoms or something collided creating all that we see now? What is more believable, Intelligent Design (Creationism) or that all of this just happened by chance?

No, how lame is it to think that there is a being up there just hanging out making stuff. Where did he come from? Don't say faith that is an answer you say when you do not know the answer.

Besides if there is a god he is a forgiving god. So I can believe what I want and still be OK.

Beside Jews have a god, budda have a god, Hindus have a god, Muslims have a god, Christan's have a god. and all the other religions have a god. If there is suppose to be one god, than somebody wrong. I wounder who? Hell Jesus was a Jew. He was not evening a Christan. He was a Jew.

Im sure SOME of them do. History has shown us the greats who have...for example,

it has been said that when Jean-Paul Satre died he said, "Alas, my philosophy was unliveable" or there is a huge debate as to if not Charles Darwin confessed upon his deathbed. If you go on the internet you'll see.

If any of them read Romans 1, they'll see its not the lack of evidence for a God, its the Supression of it. Atheism places "its eggs so far in that basket" that when you die, there is no chance for recovery. It was Albert Einstine issuing a joint statement with Bertrand Russell who said, " Those of us who know the most are most fearfull of the future."

so to answer your question, Im sure Some of them do--when you know you have moments to live, and you feel you breath leaving your lungs and you look up and see your family at your bedside, time all of a sudden becomes more focused. At that point, if there is really nothing else, oh well.

If they pray to God at the end, does that mean that they really believed but were too proud to admit it?

I mean, making that kind of commitment isn't one most people take very lightly and it does sometimes take much thought and personal reasoning to do.

My question would be more along the lines of; If an Atheist prays at a deathbed conversion, is it cheap insurance or it's about time?

If Paul went around beheading Jews and then later became a great man of Christianity, surely there are atheists who accept Jesus on their deathbed. Even though it's hard to fathom given their attitude on Answers, stranger things have happened.

Not true ones, because they would know better than to talk to those that do not exist. Some may become senile, and as their minds become like that of a child, they could go for anything. This question leads me to ask, Do you think Christians realize that there is no god, and go atheist on their deathbeds?

I have known that to happen quite often. It is a bad feeling to spend most of your life in denial and then at the last minute find that you could have had a much more fulfilled life if you had made this decision earlier. I hope and pray that all will find this fulfillment. I hope that all will find that they need Jesus in their lives.

I'm sure some do. And I'm sure some Christians realize that it's a bit narrow-minded to believe that their particular brand of Christianity is the One True Faith.

Well, most guys that went to war (believers & non-believers) will tell you that just before a serious life threatening, enemy offensive attack,...they would be ordered to "dig - in" and fix bayonets. They knew, that many, and perhaps all might not live through to see tommorrow If you looked around you would see every guy with his little military issue prayer book out and his lips silently moving.

The saying went....THERE ARE NO ATHIESTS IN FOX HOLES!!!!

why does it matter to you? Are you trying to make Christianity seem important? How about...how many Xtians have given up on the art of the lie?

Ill bet that less than 1% of Atheists ask for your Christian repentance....what a waste of a post by a wasted mind.

I came upon this question by chance. Find Jesus before it is too late. Design your life according to his.
