Severe Prolonged Stomach Pains?
I am 18 years old and was diagnosed with Tonsolitis about a month ago. I didnt take anything to make it better. Its been a month now and the tonsolitis seems to be clearing up, but I have had severe stomach pains for almost 2 weeks. The pain is so bad that I can hardly eat. I stay in bed most of the day due to the pain. I dont have a family doctor here and dont want to go to the hospital if i dont need to. Ive never been this sick before in my life, and Im not sure whats wrong. Im always so tired and get very weak easily. I know I should go to the hospital, but does anyone have an idea of why I am having these severe stomach pains?

I think it is time for you to get this investigated. It could be that the painkiller (or antibiotics) you took for the tonsilitis have irritated your gut causing the stomach pains but it could be something entirely unrelated.
The fact that the stomach pains are clearly debilitating, you're presumably not eating or drinking so are risking dehydration and this has gone on for so long means it has to be checked out by a doctor. It could be something simple like a case of gastroenteritis or it could something more serious like be a blockage in your gut or an ulcer.
Whatever the case, please do go to the hospital (and when you do get better, find a local doctor to register with even if it is just a uni doctor if you're a student).

Could be a parasite or Helicobacter Pylori bacteria. Easy solution may be taking product like Pepto Bismol. It contains bismuth which will eliminate undesirable organisms. Read the label before taking. Take only in accordance with instructions.

when your tonsils hurt it is because there is infection that your tonsils are fighting it off. your tonsils are like filters to help ward off any infection. it is possible that you have swallowed some of the infection and it has changed strains or increased and that is why you hurt. you should go to the dr and get some blood tests done.. you may need an anti biotic to get rid of any infection you may have. you should also find out if you have any damage done by the infection.
dont put this off--it could be more dangerous to wait.

Could be Irritable Bowel Syndrome or an ulcer. You should probably get it checked out before it gets worse.
