In the United States, we use

    10^6 = Million

    10^9 = Billion

    10^12 = Trillion

In the United Kingdom, the system is often....

    10^6 = Million

    10^9 = 1,000 Million

    10^12 = Billion

    Hope the extra info helps.

obviously " 10 raised to the power of 12"

  • 1 decade ago

    The obvious answer would be,

    "ten to the twelfth power".

However, you might choose to use a prefix with the same meaning.

The prefix "Tera" will imply x 10^12, and is symbolized with a capital T.

In the metric or SI systems of measurement, these prefixes are common. You may be familiar with MILImeters, KILOmeters, KILOgrams, MEGAbytes.http://dbhs.wvusd.k12.ca.us/webdocs/Metric/Metric-...
