Lips getting thinner as I age?!?
Ok...this sucks. I'm finding that the older I get (38), the more my lips are thinning out! No perv answers please - this is a real question! Any ideas out there for bringing back a "pout" to my smile, OTHER than surgery? I think part of it is because of having to get dentures at 32 due to damage during chemotherapy - it's caused my facial features to change dramatically, which also sucks. Please...really looking for some suggestions/commiserations/ideas :-)
Thanks so much in advance!

I have also had chemo and you are correct it damages you all over. I have found a great lip plumping lipstick at Avon. Beyond Color plumping lipcolor SPF 15 it is on page 24 of their campaign 15 brochure. If you don't already know someone that sells Avon go to www.yourAvon.com and they will direct you to one.

If you're looking for more of a quick makeup fix, this could help:
"Trace just the outer edge of your lips with a neutral liner. Blend. Apply sheer lipstick in a medium or light shade (very dark color can make thin lips look smaller) and dot iridescent gloss on the middle of the bottom lip to make it appear fuller and more pouty."

I guess the dentures have to do with it...but I'd get a lip plumping lip gloss from Ulta or Sephora. It's like lip gloss but it makes your lips look twice as big...which is good in your situation. It's kind of expensive though

They do have a lipstick out that will plump your lips. For the life of me, I can't think of the brand, though. Unfortunately, just plain aging reduces the amount of fat in your lips and they start to thin; I'm 35 and noticing it a bit myself. Aargh! I sometimes apply a bit of Carmex to my lips before I apply the lipstick; that seems to help.

I remember seeing a product in a beauty magazine called "lip plumper." It went on under lip gloss, but I don't remember how it worked. I did a quick web search, and it came back with lots of hits. I copied and pasted the first one, but there were others. Do a web search on "lip plumper."

Try a darker lip liner and go just around the lips (a liitle on skin, but not too much of course)

I've noticed the same thing. What about botox? It kind of scares me but everyone seems to be doing it. It does'nt involve surgery.
