How long does a Character Breakfast last at Disney world? "Chef Mickeys"?
We have a scheduled 9:00am Chef Mickey character breakfast at the Contemporary resort. How long will it last? 2 hrs? or is it less?

Chef Mickeys breakfast is a buffet, and does not have a set time "frame". When you are seated and give your drink orders, you can go up to the buffet as often as you like and can eat quickly or can take your time.
The characters roam around the room and stop at each table for a few minutes. Depending on how busy they are, and how many characters are there at the time, it can take anywhere from a few minutes to an hour and a half or more for each of them to stop at a specific table. If there is a particular character you would like to see (that is available there), you can let your waiter know and if it's not too busy they will try to get the character over to you a bit sooner.
Unfortunately, around 9am will probably be one of the busier times of the day, unless it is a very slow season. You may want to plan on around a couple of hours if you want to see all of the characters at your table. If it's during one of the slower seasons you may not need much more than an hour or so.

I've not been to Chef Mickey's but I've heard about. My fiance and I ate breakfast at the Crystal Palace (inside Magic Kingdom), which was also a character breakfast. The Character Breakfast's are almost always buffet's (like Chef Mickey's) so you can eat as much as you like, but we found that three trips was more than enough. The variety of foods is good and high quality. The prices range from $15-29 per person.
As far as length, you can stay there as long as you like or need to finish your meal. I would think that the breakfast buffet would probably last until at least 11:30 or so, because Chef Mickey's doesn't serve lunch, only breakfast and dinner. If you're concerned about waiting to meet characters, it really shouldn't take that long, because the characters are constantly moving from table to table to meet people and take pictures.
Hope that helps.

My boyfriend and I have reservations for Chef Mickey's at 8:40 on the 3rd of August. I've been there once before when I was younger and I enjoyed it. Breakfast usually begins around 7:00 or 8:00 and goes to anywhere between 10:00 and 11:00 at the Disney restaurants. Chef Mickey's offers a buffet for breakfast and dinner. Since it's a buffet, you can probably stay there just about as long as you want, unless it's really busy and they need to get other people in with reservations. But you probably won't need to stay long anyway... you'll get full easily from all the awesome food they offer.

It's just a meal - It shouldn't take 2 hours.
I had a character dinner at Chef Mickeys in 2003 - you show up, they take your picture in front of this backdrop and then they seat you. Our dinner was a buffet (I don't know about breakfast) - so the waiter came over and got us started - they characters were all walking around visiting the tables while the guests ate - they show you your pictures toward the end of your meal and try to sell them to you (which we bought, of course) and then when you're done eating, you settle the bill and leave. We enjoyed our dinner - the food was good - the service was good and our kids loved it - I have lots of pictures of them posing with the characters.
Another nice thing about Chef Mickey's is the location - you can walk to the Magic Kingdom after you're done - Have fun!!

i'd be there a similar week. The very last time we went, we did a personality breakfast. attempt to head as early as is mushy that you'll get there. That way you may do the nature meal and then head to the parks. once you've a later time, you may finally end up not doing something earlier or likely finally end up operating late because you're waiting in line for an charm. Disney has a lot to do and that i have got here across that once you've issues that are scheduled, that's wonderful to do them first and enable as a lot as a threat to head unscheduled something of the day. Being in a concern the position you're observing the clock all day and lacking something or reducing an interest short to make a reservation is a effective recipe for a annoying vacation.

That depends. Call WDW and ask if there are other times scheduled. If there is one at say, 10:30, then obviously it is about and hour long. .I went there in 2004, but don't remember how long it was.
As far as I can recall, it wasn't long at all. The characters come around to each table as you are eating. (you will have plenty of time in the park if that is your concern)
And fill up on breakfast, then you can skip lunch and save some $$$.

You'll be out of there by 10:30 (if you want). It's a really cool experience, but the breakfasts don't last very long.
