To you who says God does not exist?
1st Point. You do not have ALL the knowledge in the world
2nd Point Is it Possible for God to exist in the knowledge you do not have.
3rd Point To say anything else but yes means you are no longer going by logic but by emotions and desires
4th Point So how can you critizize others who believe in God?
We are NOT talking about the ACTIONS of some believers but in the belief itself.

Of course we don't have all the knowledge of the universe! But we do know enough to exclude many possibilities. For example, we can say that contradictory things don't exist. We can say that Ptolemy was wrong and that the planets don't go around the earth. Furthermore, we can exclude the existence of many other things.
The *real* problem when discussing 'God' is that nobody seems to agree what properties this being has. It's difficult to show the non-existence of something if you don't know what it is.
Also, the burden of proof is on the person trying to show the existence of something, not the person trying to show the non-existence. So, give a *good* definition of what a 'God' is and say how to test the existence of this thing and let's go do the test!

1: The Bible does not have all the knowledge in the world.
2nd Point: It's possible for nothing to exist in the knowledge the Bible does'nt have.
3rd point: What in the Bible is logical? Is faith logical? Or is the fact that the earth has been around much longer than the Bible proclaims. No, it is not logical to say that 1 day = 1000 years. That is not logical.
4th point: Science atleast tries to prove theories.
5th point: So how can you critisize the others who don't believe in God. More often than not, the believers are the ones who wear their denomination on their sleeves...
Have a nice day, try again later.

I also say a square-circle does not exist.
1st Point: You do not need all the knowledge in the world to prove that illogical concepts do not exist, you just need to show that they are internally inconsistent or incoherent.
2nd Point: Even if that wasn't true, would you rather have us accept everything we can't disprove -- because that means I also have to believe in Santa, Zeus, Apollo, the Easter Bunny, Unicorns, Dragons, all the Chinese gods, all the greek gods, all the Indian gods (WoW -- a river god!), etc... etc... Are you claiming you can disprove all of those with you superknowledge of everything?
3rd Point: The burden of proof is on the believer to give a coherent description of their god and show evidence for it.
4th Point: You have a bad understanding of logic, as evidenced by thinking incoherent things can exist.
Does that clear things up?

I just don't share you belief in God, I don't say God doesn't exist, but I have no reason to think that he does exist and stating this fact is not necessarily a criticism of you who believe.
Presumably you are saying you have knowledge the rest of us don't, if so what is it, it's up to you who make the claim for God to offer proof, it's not up to others to disprove your claim.
Your logic is just faulty!
God or no God?... this question is unfalsifiable, it is therefore just speculation and if we accept everything that is specualtion without evidence then we would believe some very peculiar things indeed.
I speculate there is an invisible purple troll who lives under your bed? I can't prove whether this is so or not...it's my speculation and you had better believe it without criticism..okay!

"I am an atheist, out and out. It took me a long time to say it. I've been an atheist for years and years, but somehow I felt it was intellectually unrespectable to say one was an atheist, because it assumed knowledge that one didn't have. Somehow, it was better to say one was a humanist or an agnostic.
I finally decided that I'm a creature of emotion as well as of reason. Emotionally, I am an atheist. I don't have the evidence to prove that God doesn't exist, but I so strongly suspect he doesn't that I don't want to waste my time."

to answer your question:
1. true - nobody has
2. is it possible for God to exist in the knowledge YOU have? if so, then you and/or other believers seem to have all the knowledge in the world, which, according to the first point, cannot be true.
3. false. when i say "yes, God exists in the knowledge i do not have.", then i go beyond my knowlegde, into emotion and desire - in my knowledge, God does not exist, but i FEEL and BELIEVE that he does.
when i say "no, God does not exist in the knowledge i do not have.", it is simply states that IF he exists, there must be a proof of it beyond my knowledge, not only a belief.
proof:
science says that God does not exist, because there is no logic proof of His existance, while theology states that if there are so many people believing, one can equally assume that He exists and take this strong belief as a proof of His existance. in comparison, science also says that the free will does not exist, although EVERYBODY BELIEVES it does, yet here this belief cannot be taken as a proof ANYMORE, because it is PROVEN to be wrong.
so that means and proofs GOD DOES EXIST until otherwise proven. as well as love does. you can measure somebodys heartbeat, his whole body reacts when he or she meets somebody - and a believer's body reacts equally when he enters a church or just hears religious music. believing gives hope, faith, strength and the will to survive. everybody BELIEVES in something, no matter if it's ANY God, Love or one's own power.
4. personally, i only criticize believers who put God above everything - and we are indeed talking about ACTIONS as well, because belief always causes actions.
i hate to hear preachers talking about the divinity of God when there is really PEOPLE who did things. what is the point in thanking god, when you believe that these PEOPLE did something out of their FREE WILL? yes, you could say God gave them their free will, but still - THEY did it! that's what i call ignorance, which is very close to arrogance.
and i hate to hear "God is there when i have a problem" - that is even more dangerous, because you do not ignore others, you ignore yourself!! instead of standing up to face whatever comes in your way and give your very best to find a solution and improve your life, you expect Him to manage YOUR life (at best first before the other 6 billion people on earth), forgetting that He never even told you WHY he brought you to life at all!?! life is not about finding yourself, not in God or Love or anywhere, it is about CREATING yourself! that is the sense of life. life is surely a gift (from God to you, if you want to believe that), but if you really believe in the free will, it is completely your choice how to live your life - not the choice of God!

"As sure as I believe
There’s a heaven above,
I know there’s something much more
Something even non-believers can believe in
I believe in love,
Without true love we just exist.
Until you find the love you’ve missed, you’re nothing.
When you walk, let your heart lead the way
And you’ll find love any day"
(from "Alfie")

apart from that...there's a song by SADE i really have a question about. it's called PEARLS.
"There is a woman in Somalia
Scraping for pearls on the roadside
There's a force stronger than nature
Keeps her will alive
This is how she's dying
She's dying to survive
Don't know what she's made of
I would like to be that brave
She cries to the heaven above
There is a stone in my heart
She lives a life she didn't choose
And it hurts like brand-new shoes
There is a woman in Somalia
The sun gives her no mercy
The same sky we lay under
Burns her to the bone
Long as afternoon shadows
It's gonna take her to get home
Each grain carefully wrapped up
Pearls for her little girl
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
She cries to the heaven above
There is a stone in my heart
She lives in a world she didn't choose
And it hurts like brand-new shoes"
why is she crying to the heaven above?
well, i guess she's just crying! As well as it shows in "hurts like brand new shoes" and "pearl for her little girl", this whole song is written to make the western world understand, how it might feel to literally starve. we know no such feeling, that's why it is compared to the hurt brand new shoes cause. and we know no such crying and begging than to heaven and God.
but i honestly doubt, that this woman has any reason to believe in whatsoever! i mean, what would YOU think about when being close to die other than your own life? that you will be in heaven soon? and heaven is so much better anyway? well then why didn't you kill yourself when you were 10 years old and stopped bothering everybody? again: life is a gift (by whomever) and ment to be created! if you are happy to die, your life was perfect and you don't need to look forward to heaven - if you get to heaven, good for you, if not, then at least you had a perfect life. if you are unhappy to die: who's fault is it? God's? doesn't God love everybody? whatever! if you are desperate, it's YOUR life, change it! if you are desperate and starving then you know you have SERIOUS PROBLEMS!

There is no way to EVER stop this discussion about God, because we are all individuals and as individuals have different opinions, but if we all BELIEVE that there is always a way and that we are never alone (that is probably the only BELIEF every single individual is able to SHARE), i hope that life will at least become a little smoother and a little less complicated in the future...

I totally agree with you. I think that the only people who don't believe in god are those who think that are above all others. But deep inside even them believe in god but they don't say it cuz they think they're going to look weak. so it's more a personality problem. maybe you are not a catholic or a muslim but you can't ignore the existence of god.

My question is how do you criticize people who do not believe in god? All you have is faith and all non-believers have is a guess. So why don't you wait for the day you die to see if there's an afterlife and just enjoy life without worrying about believers and non-believers?

Iam not a believer.
I think it is up to the individual person.
If some believe and some do not who are we to crticise.
Acceptance of others beliefs would make for more peace in the world

Why worry about what others think? It says in the bible, "judge not lest ye be judged". You believe what you like and let others have the same freedom. I'm sure you don't like others telling you what to believe. As for me, I "know" there is a God, but it's not my place to set judgement upon those who don't.

It is just a question of belief. Existance of god is nmot based on logic. If anyone can give me and concince with one proof (scientific) about existance of god, I will start believing!
